Unexpectedly, in a mysterious way, in the scenery of Krakow appeared chess rooks. They have grown like those proverbial mushrooms after the rain. Does an invasion of rooks threaten us? Of course, yes!. They are the rooks promoting three events of prestige in 2011: the World Chess Championship of Schools, the Great Exhibition of Chess Rooks and the 82th Congress of the International Chess Federation. There will be 181 rooks of gigantic height of 3.20 m. They will keep watch over Krak’s city for 200 days. They will take possession of Cracow. They will be given the keys to the city gates, they will take over the power. They will be a piece of good fortune for the citizens and also for the guests and tourists visiting Krakow.

Playing chess is a royal game, known as early as the 6^th c. People who are passionated by chess think that it is something more than a game it’s a combination of a sport, scientific thinking and some elements of art. Exactly, so it is – the rooks heralding the future events are genuine works of art. Each of them was made in cooperation with Krakow artists.

 THE GREAT EXHIBITION OF CHESS ROOKS

The idea of the project is to popularize playing chess in Poland and in the world. To realize it each rook is waiting for its Patron. The Exclusive Club of Companies (of Rooks), which was established during this project, is a place of prestige for an exceptional group of Partners.The dedicated Rook will express a unique promotion message of the Firm. The motto of the Exhibition is "YOUR MOVE, YOUR ROOK".

The promotion rooks will be set in motion immediately. They will visit the Touristic Fairs in Berlin, Odessa and London. The firm rooks, after 200 days in Krakow, will also not stay motionless. We are preparing them for a journey around the world. We will create something similar to www.cowparade.com, know all over the world. Ladies and Gentelmen, you will witness spectacular chess events. You will be seized with rook-mania - Krakow will become a city of rooks.
